Bike mode

There's a button labelled "bike mode" on the bike at the gym. The little red light next to it is always on, it seems it's a default setting. I wondered what would happen if I pressed it.

I got to imagining what the alternatives to "bike mode" could be.
Car mode.
Aeroplane mode.
Go-kart mode.
Elephant mode.

So, having always wanted to ride an elephant, I went ahead and pressed the button. Alas, to my great dissappointment, the difference seemed to be absolutely none. There is no alternative to "bike mode". The bike is destined to function only, it seems, as a bike.

Never mind. I was entertained for at least 5 minutes. Maybe that's the point of the button.
