Ahhh it's the weekend :) Normally I don't really care much, cos it's much the same as other days, but whenever I work all week I appreciate again what it means to have a weekend :D It's definitely worth working for!
Oh and random thought - I was doing temp work this week, but hardly saw a computer (well, I did spend some time putting some into boxes...). It was weird, I got to do heaps of different things, and lots of it was physical work, like breaking up cardboard boxes (fun!!) and cleaning out cupboards (less fun..). I was super tired every night, but I quite enjoyed doing stuff that required no computer, no desk, and problem-solving of a different type. Like, 'How can I get these million folders to fit into this space thats, well, less than that of a million folders?' and 'How do computers go back into the boxes they came in?' (harder than it sounds!). Anyway, it was a refreshing change, and hopefully my muscles will start appearing any day now :)
Today I'm going furniture shopping with Emily, cos she's got a job teaching in the country and needs stuff to put in her house there!!! I consider myself highly qualified for this role, as we're looking at couches today, and I'm great at sitting, lying, and generally lounging around on couches!! But man, I'm soooo jealous, I love buying stuff for houses, I want a place of my own too!! Our place in Beijing was small and we didn't really have money to buy stuff for it, but despite this we seemed to visit IKEA quite often! Too bad IKEA in Adelaide isn't open yet, but I'm sure we'll find plenty of other furniture places to check out.
Anyway, must be off - many couches to be sat upon!!! :)
